The role is an essential link in the communication and management of the work carried out by our Client’s Product Management and Development team. You will have had 2-3 years working in an accounting practice, and have a sound grounding in accounts production and/or taxation work for small to medium sized clients.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to move to the software/Fintech industry, while making full use of your accounting experience and knowledge. You will be helping Product Managers handle their queries from other departments within the business, be involved with product specifications and releases, and be the first point of contact for issues raised by the support group. You will be exposed to all aspects of product development from inception to release. This role provides a perfect grounding for starting a career in software product management.

Responsibilities

The Primary Responsibility of the role is to provide advice to members of the Quality Assurance, Development and Technical Support teams based on tax and accountancy specifications written by the Product Management team. Reporting directly to the Accounts Product Manager, the position will be internally focused and will require liaison with several different departments within the company.

Secondary Responsibilities include:

Assisting the Sales Account Managers with queries which may arise from client meetings.

Dealing with ad-hoc tax or accounting queries from departments within the firm.

  • The ability to provide clear and concise explanations of tax and accounting requirements in a manner which can be understood by non-Accountants.

  • A basic knowledge and understanding of iXBRL tagging and eFiling requirements.

Experience

  • AAT qualified, ATT qualified or part-qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA, ideally with some experience of both Taxation (Personal and Corporate) and Accounts preparation.
  • Proven technical knowledge of accounting and taxation, commensurate with your time in training or in practice.
